Since I hate everything, I dont usually do alot of fan art, but Ive been really into the Oblongs lately for some reason. Of course, my favorite character is Creepy Susie. I thought shed make an adorable Gothic Lolita.

I've never seen the Oblongs...it seems/sounds like one of those shows they based off of a newspaper comic. But this reminds me of how my friend Jade was telling me about this one show called "Growing Up Creepy" and it's about this girl who was raised by insects or something.

Actually, it was based off the book "Creepy Susie and 13 other Tragic Tales for Troubled Children" by Angus Oblong. The book, and others in the series are ALOT more morbid and with darker humor than the series.

According to Angus Oblong's website:
"The producers working on the show softened Oblong’s vision, making 'The Oblongs' merely another lukewarm, prime time comedy about a family who does nothing all that unusual, then hugs at the end of every episode. 'Gross.' Says Oblong. "

So yeah.

That's interesting. Sometimes they do have to soften stuff so they can legally show it on television. Can't have anything to "scary".

Heres a synopsis of one of his stories in his second book, just to give you an example:
"A heartwarming story about a little alien boy who befriends a crippled black kid with a eyepatch then kills him & wears him as a Halloween costume.
(A true story.) "
Sooo...yeah. The show is good, but I wish it were more like the books. Its kinda like how Invader Zim was good, but its way more toned down than Johnny The Homicidal Manic and Jhonen's other work.

Only the good ones.

It's just the best Creepy Susie fanart that I ever seen!! You have a awesome style drawing characters, congratulations. :D
This drawing gives me the inspiration for drawing Susie with more black dresses, very good job!

Nice job, you did a good job on her. Not many people can change cartoon characters to look good in a new stlye, like lolita.

I really like how you drew her and you made her 'creepy' like she originally was.^^
